My Two Cents

Let me begin by giving props to Smoke for starting this blog. I think it will be a lively and sometimes heated discussion and debate between the two of us (and anyone else) on a wide variety of topics, and it will provide a great outlet of information and entertainment for the target reader - the hardcore sports fan. Come with an opinion - AND BACK IT UP! - or don't come at all...

I also want to thank Matt for allowing me to post my own blogs, rants, observations, and trash talk on the Sports Adrenaline site. We go back a long way and the teams we support could not be more opposite (we hate each other's teams!!!), creating a rivalry which will definitely provide some great arguments and passionate, "adrenaline-filled" discussion.

I look forward to sharing my knowledge of and passion for sports, as well as gaining insight from the blog community. It should be fun.

With that said...let's get this party started!!!

Quick Take:
Both have a lot to prove in order to get the next big contract they think they deserve...Moss just needs to shut up and play ball. When he wants to be, he can still be a home-run weapon downfield, and Vince Young (if healthy) has the arm to get him the ball. With the hamstring injury to emerging star Kenny Britt, Moss will need to contribute right away, making the Titans' passing attack enough of a threat to keep opponents from stacking the box against the explosive Chris Johnson.

Merriman has more to prove, however. As a lifelong Charger fan, I have seen Merriman as an absolute beast, and on the career track to become one of the best ever. I have also seen his Hollywood ego alienate teammates and coaches. I've seen his production slip and injuries mount ever since getting popped by the NFL for a "banned substance"...Coincidence? I think not. Also I find it interesting that Buffalo picked him up after just switching to a 4-3 defense. Um, Bills, hello?? Buffalo should know that Merriman is the perfect OLB in the 3-4 defense. Are they going to reverse course and change back to the 3-4 scheme, or is this just more bad news for "Lights Out"?
